Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Horrible

Jim64 2/23/2026

I bought this a little over a year ago and the freezer doesn't freeze. Scheduled a service call. Nobody showed up. Quit using the freezer, called the business where I bought it. They were clueless. Would never buy Amana or anything from Hometown Norfolk. Thanks for nothing.

I bought the refrigerator from Home Depot In Wesr Reno Nevada. When it arrived it didn™€™t include a Door Reversibility kit which I had requested and it didn™€™t include a deli/meat drawer. If you could sent me those two items, I would be glad to write a favorable review. John Kirk, 272 Nevada St., Redwood City, CA 94062. 650-366-9783 land line 650-240-6209. Cell

Saludos.

Good basic refrigerator - very pleased

Connie123 10/7/2025

I was looking for a basic, well made refrigerator without unnecessary features. It has a good design, and I find it easier to organize than my previous fancy fridge with French doors. I also like having the freezer on top. So far it is working well, runs quietly, keeps the food properly cold and looks nice in my kitchen.

Amana

Alexandra 9/12/2025

It is a nice refrigerator, however I noticed that the door seal is detached and I just purchased it in June. It's a large refrigerator, very spacious, and it's energy efficient which helps with the utilities. I purchased the brand Amana because Whirlpool owns the Amana home appliance brand. I love Whirlpool because they own some of their appliances in the United States.

Deb55 9/11/2025

I originally bought this item in June 2025 and had an overheating issue. It took me calling whirlpool customer service 5 times and Home Depot where I purchased it. Finally after 1 month of very scary overheating I had a very concerned customer service rep who replaced the defective fridge. I am very satisfied with the fridge that I have today.

Same dimentions on the exterior, but it seems that things are more accessable on the interior. My husband and I are very happy with it. We bought an Amana washing machine a couple of months ago, and I'm very happy with it, also. I especially like the sensing options.

A WHITE refrigerator!

Jos2 11/7/2024

We had an Amana that served us very well for over 2 decades. We sought to replace it but could find no WHITE available in our city without a month or longer wait except the current model. We were pleased to get it at a modest price, but I wish it were a bit more like the one we had with the freezer at the bottom (with a light) rather than at the top without a light. We are adjusting but were warned it might serve for only 8-10 years. Long enough for us at age 85.

I wish it were a tad quieter. apparently new refrigerators won't last the 29 years my old one did. The feature of temp setting being digitized and now I'm able to throw lots of groceries in and switch the cooling and well whatever it is - don't care much for that. Just let me turn the dial or slider and be done with it. Low tech - worked for the last 29 years. I like the glass shelves and it's bright and roomy inside. Like the door pockets. like the door handle.

Disappoinrments

Patsy926 4/11/2024

The Amana brand I bought several months back at approx $800 give or take, has not shown me the quality or design of Amana as in years past. The flimsy shelving and associated retaining bars stand out. Another annoyance is the interior light with its drop down plastic cover over the light bulb, prevents items of size on the top shelf from going thru the middle area. The freezer door gasketing is pulled away causing a non-gripping to the unit, a poor seal. I plan to buy the recommended adhesive and repair it with a friend. I purchased from Quality Appliance in Shelton Wa. Never again! Not the Amana I grew up with, sorry.

NOT THE AMANA THAT IT USED TO BE

Patsy926 2/9/2024

I BOUGHT THIS UNIT A FEW MONTHS AGO. NOT HAPPY WITH THE GASKETING AROUND THE FRIDGE DOOR. IT CLEARLY HAS BEEN GLUED NOTICEABLY. I AM NOT GETTING A TIGHT CONNECTION TO UNIT. DON'T LIKE THE COLD CONTROL DESIGN, THEY ARE ARE DOWN AND BACK UNDER; WEIRD AND DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER. THE DOOR SHELVING IS VERY FLIMSY, TO THE POINT THAT STORE SALESMAN GAVE ME A WHITE CROSS BAR IN CASE ONE ON UNIT BREAKS. MILK CARTONS, OJ AND TALL ITEMS HAVE LITTLE TO NO ROOM ON DOOR SHELVING I PLAN TO HAVE SMALL APPLIANCE STORE COME OUT ON MY DIME TO LOOK AT THE GASKET SITUATION. HARD TO BELIEVE THIS IS AN AMANA PRODUCT. THEY WERE NBR 1 YEARS AGO. SAD. SPENT $800+ TAXES.

I received this refrigerator on the 2nd of November. It made so much noise all the time. About he last 10 minutes of its cycle it sounded like it was scrapping metal. I called twice to Home Depot and they had a technician come out twic and both times I was told that it was working properly. I then called Home Depot and told them I wanted to return it. They issued me a credit and I am still waiting for someone to pick it up. I have called 3 times and haven't gotten anyone to help me. COME GET YOUR REFRIGERTOR!!!

Bad Installation and Not Energy Star product

kjdavid 11/21/2023

Home Depot delivered the refrigerator about two months ago. The ice maker didn't work, so someone came out again and found the ice maker was not plugged in so then plugged it in. Now refrigerator delivers a block of ice in the ice holder and doesn't make ice cubes. Home Depot ordered a new ice maker that will (hopefully) be installed tomorrow. Product was advertised on Home Depot website as Energy Star product. The city denied my Energy Star rebate request and said it really wasn't an Energy Star product. Seems Home Depot or Amana is not advertising its product honestly. Disappointed in the product and would not buy it knowing what I now know.

Freezer has shelf, a better idea!

Burned Once 10/19/2023

I bought this a month ago to replace a 15 month old $700 Frigidare that leaked out all its R600 refrigerant (which is scary as it is highly explosive.) A $90 service call verified the problem but they said they were not R600 state certified to repair it and the fix was likely more costly than a new unit. Frigidare Customer service suggested to buy an extended warranty ($85), wait 2 months, file a claim, call approved repair company, pay for another service call (another $90,) have them confirm what the fix is and if it is more than a new unit file a claim for 10% off a new unit. Duh! Needless to say I cut my losses and bought the Amana. It definitely has nicer features than the Frigidare I had to trash after 15 months. So far I love it. One fear however is it has the same R600 refrigerant that leaked out of my old unit. I will call Amana C S to discuss how their extended warranty process works before I buy one.
